General Information

Marmara University Vocational School of Technical Studies was established pursuant to the resolution of The Council of Higher Education on January 23rd, 1991. Mechanical Technicians Training Program has been training technicians that perfectly serve for the needs of the industry for many years with competent and expert training staff combining various disciplines into a single education program. Marmara University Mechanical Technicians Training Program has a 2 year academic curriculum. Vocational high school graduates can be directly enrolled at our program while, high school graduates are admitted on quotas on basis of the university examination scores, and at the end of the vocational training period our graduates are ensured to acquire technological knowledge and skills to manufacture machine parts by operating either conventional lathe, milling, grinding workstations or advanced computer-controlled CNC workstations. Courses, assignments and project designs performed throughout the education period are the most important tools we implement for improving problem-solving skills of our students. Other than being mere recipients of the curriculum studies whilst developing their skills in mechanic related subjects, the students also encouraged and trained to consolidate the knowledge they have acquired with their own ideas to turn out solution-oriented results.

Thanks to the high standards education we provide and the great need for intermediate staff across the machinery industry, our graduates can quickly find jobs after graduation and apply the knowledge and skills they acquired at our school with their foolproof title of "mechanical technician".
